6 week (exactly) scan

I had a six week scan today. The sack and yolk had grown since my last scan (three days ago) but there is still no fetal pole. She said the 6mm sac is too small for this stage.
Has anyone had the same experience? I’m so upset 😭

So it's 50/50

The sack/yolk are so so small they are hard to measure.
So you could be earlier than your measuring, and thst you thought.
We have no idea when implantation happens etc.

Or, it won't grow any further.

Is this a private clinic? I wish they wouldn't allow early scans until 8 weeks, for this reason. A lot can change in a day.
Are you booked back in?

No it was an NHS scan and due to previous recurrent miscarriage. She said she could see some possible blood in the lining too. I’m distraught. I’m booked back in for Monday x

Could I have just ovulated late? X

It's really too early to know as, as you mention, you could have ovulated late. Normally they want two weeks between scans as that gives you a definitive answer on whether the embryo is growing but I know it's so hard to wait in limbo

Thank you. They’ve asked me to come back on Monday and I’m terrified that nothing will be seen again :(
