Multiple miscarriages

Hi all,

has anyone had multiple miscarriages and then gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

My background, I gave birth to my daughter in Dec 2019, got pregnant again in October 2022 which ended in miscarriage at 8 weeks. I found out I was pregnant again last month and I’m currently miscarrying again at 8 weeks.

Im just wondering if anyone else has been in the same situation and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? I’m 37 now so if I want to try again I’ll need to do it soon.

Not myself but I know at least a couple of friends who had 2+ mc in between children 1 and 2. I don’t know if they had medical intervention to achieve child 2 however.

I would suggest getting your thyroid checked if you haven’t recently, as untreated hypothyroid can cause early mc. Another thing to check is immune response (overactive immune reaction can cause mc) but I think you would need a fertility clinic to do this.

Not sure if this would help but I had a missed miscarriage earlier this year and got pregnant quite soon after and currently having a healthy pregnancy so far

I did read that some hospitals offer more support for women who have had more than 2 loses such as a consultation and also blood tests maybe its worth calling the community midwives/GP and asking if that's something you could be referred for? I've heard some women being given progesterone to help

I had 3 losses and got pregnant straight after the third. Now 32 weeks pregnant. I hope you get your rainbow soon x

I had a DD and then 3 consecutive miscarriages and then DS arrived. I hope you get your rainbow baby too
