Hi guys. I’ve been tracking ovulation this month. But this has me confused?!

is this a posative pregnancy on an ovulation strip or a negative ovulation test?

I ovulated on the 23rd/24th of this month (posative ovulation test, line was darker than the controll line. So day 14/15 of a 25 day cycle.) Im terrible for wanting to test early and have no preg tests at home so I used an ovulation test as I read many women have! Does this look like I could be pregnant?!! I’m not due on for 3 more days!

I’m confused

is this an ovulation test or a pregnancy test?

two different products with different tests

It’s an ovulation test but I’ve already ovulated and had No pregnancy tests in the house. I read online you can use these to detect pregnancy

It's normal to have a second line on ovulation tests at all times even after ovulation and sometimes it can get darker as your period approaches, regardless of if you're pregnant or not. I think this test is just doing what it's meant to and picking up normal LH levels.
I think they pick up pregnancy only when you're way past your period due date? And when they do it is a properly positive ovulation test - so the test line would be darker than the control line.
This is my understanding anyway but really you're just driving yourself a bit crazy (which I absolutely get!). Get a pregnancy test if you want to test! 😊 goodluck!

It’s a negative ovulation test. You always have some level of LH in your body so there’s a line on the ovulation tests, it’s only when the line is as dark or darker than the control line is it counted as a positive ovulation test. They can detect pregnancy but again it would show as a dark line. It’s too early to take a pregnancy test any way.

When my ovulation tests hinted at pregnancy for me, it was right before my expected period, was a solid line darker than control line whereas I would always get somewhat of a line when I wasn't pregnant. This is just a normal result, can go either way if you do a pregnancy test a bit closer to your period due date x

You always have a second line

I'd still say that's just a standard result on an ovulation test x

Mamato29192 · 03/11/2023 10:19

They still look normal for an ovulation test
