HELP Feels like period pain 5w 2d

Hi
I’m 5w 2d pregnant, I got home about 2 hours and took a paracetamol as I have really bad tummy cramps. I’m not bleeding but my goodness I feel like I have bad period pains and I’m worrying. Is this normal? Should I go to a&e? Is there anything else I should look out for?

Hey, just wanted you to know that I had cramps and pains around this time and everything was fine. Don't want to minimise your pain though and not a medical professional. Hope more come along to reassure or offer advice. Hope all goes well :)

@nopenotforme thanks for your reply, was it radiating into your legs? It’s so painful 😣 i suffer with endometriosis and have really bad period cramps and it feels the same. I’ve been getting some cramps and thought just the uterus growing but this feels quite bad. Really hope everything is ok xx

I dont remember it radiating into my legs. I think best you speak to a doctor. Doesn't mean it is serious but will put your mind at rest. Wishing you all the best x

You might need to be seen to rule out an ectopic OP, so pack a little bag of stuff to take if you need to go to A&E. I hope your get checked out quickly and all is well.

Hi ladies so I woke up at 5am in pain and some spotting on the tissue when wiped called 111 told me to take paracetamol and booked me a doctors app this morning. Seen the doc and I’m having a scan tomorrow morning to rule out etopic pregnancy, she said it could be 3 things: completely normal, ectopic pregnancy or start of a miscarriage. I am still wiping blood when I go for a wee but it’s very pink and not much. Please someone tell me this will be ok :(

How did everything work out for you in the end?

Unfortunately not I miscarried although I am now 12 weeks pregnant with a new pregnancy and did have bleeding / clots at 6,7 weeks and baby is fine had my 12 weeks scan :)

Hello really needing some advice I'm nearly 11weeks pregnant second child and I have such bad period pains can only describe the feeling like I'm in the worst stage of a heavy period! I never had this pain with my first child he's 5 now. I have had some brown discolouration in discharge I have got a emergency scan booked in on Monday as I haven't even had my first midwife appointment yet let alone a scan so praying the baby is OK on Monday! Could this be a early starting of a miscarriage I can't stay calm I'm crying all the time I don't want to loose my baby iv waited so long for this :( xx
