Scared I might be miscarrying

Dear community. Advice and reassurance would be very much appreciated.
I found out I'm pregnant less than a week ago and I should be about 5ish weeks atm. Very very early I know. Now, I started very lightly spotting yesterday, light pink and it didn't alarm me at first. Now the spotting is much heavier accompanied with lower back pain. I have two DS 1yo and 4yo and had a miscarriage at 12 weeks before my younger. It started similarly but then I started seeing tissue amongst blood. Is this normal, I don't remember spotting at all with my 2 viable pregnancies. Can this be normal? Or is this the end? Can EPAU assess this early? I'm feeling quite low about it tbh.

Sorry you have this worry, OP. You will need to check local arrangements but in my experience EPAU won’t usually see you before six weeks. Try to rest as much as you can. If you start to experience severe pain then get checked urgently in case it is an ectopic pregnancy.

I am sorry you are going through this. It doesnt sound too good. Not sure about the EPAU access but I think you should definitely go tomorrow morning if you are bleeding more, it is bright red and you still have the back pain. Could be implantation bleeding and lots of people do seem to bleed in early pregnancy but better get it checked.
Hope it is all ok. Let us know how you get on.

my advice would be to get checked asap and just say you think you are 6 weeks along to get around it I have heard of people that do bleed early in pregnancy and everything turns out to be fine but best to check nothing else such as ectopic going on. Wishing you all the best

Hi OP I had bleeding at 5 weeks it was red then went brown lasted a few hours and cramps. I was convinced I was having another mc but when I went to epu they said I had a subchronionic hematoma.
I had 3 more bleeds before 6.5 weeks x

What a few days! Called the GP on Monday, appointment straight away to a polite but clueless male doctor. He asked me if I wanted to just wait it out 🤨 I said absolutely not I want to be assessed ASAP. Referral to EPAU made but only got an appointment today. Went in thinking I know the news already, haven't stopped bleeding at any point. Turns out I'm between 6/7 weeks and I have a subchronionic haematoma in my uterus causing the bleeding. They say its benign and that so far looks all normal.
I'm so relieved! Now I just pray it's stays that way . Thank you for the support. Xx
