Round ligament or appendicitis?

Hello all, just looking for other people's experiences.
I'm 21 weeks pregnant, and this morning I woke up with a dull uncomfortable ache in my lower right abdomen, kind of feels like the pain I used to have pre pregnancy while ovulating. It's a bit painful when I press, baby is moving as normal etc. No nausea or other symptoms at the moment.
I'll call 111 later but does anyone have any experiences they can share?
Thanks xx

I’ve had appendicitis and it was a very sharp pain. I also felt generally unwell with a temperature etc.
it sounds more like round ligament pain as you are growing but as you say, always best to check with a professional if you are ever unsure x

Update, I spoke with 111 and they basically said to take paracetamol and to wait and see. I won't take it because it's not unbearable, but I'm not entirely convinced it's round ligament as it's a very specific type of pain in a very specific spot but I guess as long as I'm not really sick there's not much to do

Update: called Day Assessment Unit and spoke to a MW who just said that there's lots of pain going on in pregnancy and again to take paracetamol. I can go there if I'm worried though, so I'll wait another few hours to see what happens and then I'll probably go.

@EllaChloe how are you now? I had the exact same thing on my left side, at 19 weeks, I ended up in Maternity Triage, I couldn’t stand straight the pain gradually got worse over 2 days but paracetamol and breathing exercises helped, baby was perfectly fine, it was round ligament they ruled out urine infection 💖

Hi @mummylove24, I also went to triage, they ruled out UTI and appendicitis and put it down to round ligament pain (an ovarian cyst was hypothesised but they would have seen it at my 20 week scan last week, no?).
And yes it makes sense, however why does a specific spot hurt when pressed? I did ask but they didn't know. The pain went away overnight, but came back last night, maybe because I overdid it a little during the day. I'll see how I feel today and might call back later. Baby is fine and jumping happily in there.
Did yours last long?

A specific spot hmm, they need to investigate that. I’ve found you need to push them a bit and not let them brush you off (in my maternity services anyway)

Mine lasted about 3 days and is back again (24 weeks) but I’m managing it better this time. 💕

Thank you @mummylove24! It's basically gone now, I'll still keep an eye on it to see if it comes back. I find that it gets worse during the night for some reason.
