I hope it's ok to post here. I'm not sure there's a pregnancy loss section here?

I just lost a 14 week pregnancy and am devastated. I want to be a mum so badly but know i can't face this again. I am having tests done myself and would ideally like to wait for the PM results too. I want to be somewhat aware of my risk factors although i know sometimes you don't get an answer.

If you have had a post mortem done following loss, how long did it take to get your results? Also, did they confirm the gender. Looking at the nub we think it's a girl but I can't mourn my child without a name and identity 😞

Thanks in advance.

hi OP, I'm so sorry for your losses there is a miscarriage and pregnancy loss section which I've linked to.
I had tests done when I miscarried and it took a few months to get the results. They did not mention the sex; though they must have found it out in order to confirm the chromosomal abnormality they found.

I am so sorry. I had a miscarriage not that long ago and it was awful. Unfortunately they didn’t confirm if it was a boy or girl. If it helps you I made a box to put my hopes for my little one into. It really helped me to have some closure and say goodbye and just put a few keepsakes so I felt like my child existed and could be mourned. Sending you hugs. This is the worst time but you will get through it.

Mine was 16 weeks last year, it maybe took about a month to 6 weeks to get the results back, which for me was Triploidy, and yes they did confirm gender even though I'd said I didn't want to know, the lady said "she wasn't very well".

I'm so sorry for your loss xx
