So I am absolutely dying of a cold, really badly congested to the point where my nose is aching. I’ve tried everything that a pharmacist has recommended yet nothing works, so I bought a Vicks sniffy pen and sinex soother (thinking because it’s Vicks it would be ok) and the bottle doesnt state anything about pregnancy. I’ve put one spray up each nostril & wow I can finally breathe, but Google is telling me all sorts about it being dangerous to use in pregnancy 😭 can anyone advise on if I need to be worried or will I be ok? I’m panicking like never before

Don’t panic! I bet it’s fine! Just don’t use it again and you’ll be grand. Sometimes it’s because they contain decongestant but a few sniffs won’t have caused any problems! Just chalk it up to experience.

I’m pregnant and ate some delicious kimchi this week (apparently a big no no) and in my last pregnancy had the hottest sauna of my life in the first trimester when it’s potentially most dangerous. Everyone I know has a story like this :)

Hey, I had health anxiety in pregnancy so I know how this sort of thing can feel.

How far along are you? I’ve looked it up and it just says there are limited studies on those products so avoid them as a precaution. A couple of sprays won’t do anything but I would stop using them now.
