7 weeks pregnant and only yolk sac seen on scan

I've been pregnant 7 times. Only 1 successful which is my daughter who I welcomed in 2022. I have since found out I'm pregnant again and given my history I was offered an early scan at the EPU today. Last LMP was 13th September, first positive pregnancy test was October 15th.

Had the scan and all they saw was the pregnancy sac and a yolk sac. Couldn't confidently confirm anything else but said they don't see anything unusual for a very early pregnancy. I had a scan at 6 weeks with my daughter and I saw everything, heartbeat all perfect. This scan however wasn't like that. So I'm worried even though they've said they aren't. I have a rescan in 2 weeks time.

Has anyone been through this?

Yes.
One was a m/c , the other is my youngest.
Sometimes it's hard to get the dates correct and a lot can happen in just a few days.
How were you scanned? My youngest didn't show with a trans abdominal but was detected when I insisted on the dildo cam.

@GrimDamnFanjo I was scanned both ways. On the stomach first and then internal and the internal was the one that picked up the yolk sac. The stomach one just showed the pregnancy sac

Hey! I had a scan at 6+4 and only saw a yolk sac. I told them that I can confidently tell you when I ovulated and my periods are extremely regular so I know I am 6+4, they weren’t worried and said things are so small at this stage and they develop at different rates. Is there any chance you can book in for a private scan in a few days/ a week rather than having to wait 2 weeks?

Were you tracking ovulation? It may be that you ovulated later.

Good luck!

@BeingATwatItsABingThing no, didn't track ovulation. This was very much a surprise pregnancy (a day and night at a wedding and one to many tequila rose)

@LW678 it's passed my mind, but I couldn't put the torture on myself if it was another scan in limbo for an answer. So me and my partner have decided to wait the 2 weeks and just focus on our daughter and we've also just bought a house. It's going to be hard to focus
