Late babymoon holiday and hospitals in Turkey

Hello,

I booked a holiday to turkey from UK with my husband which will fall on 32-33 weeks of my pregnancy. I know this is not the ideal time but we had other commitments and had to delay the holiday.

My midwife is okay for me to travel. She just said look into hospitals around where you are staying and get insurance just in case anything goes wrong.

We were initially planning to stay in Kalkan where there are good mountain villas but now having doubts as I cannot find info on hospitals in Kalkan and I’m not sure what the ambulance services are like?

Does anyone know if there are hospitals in either Kalkan or Fethiye with decent maternity wards? What is your experience with the medical services there in general? Expertise? Communication? How they treat patients?

This will help me to decide on where to go (we haven’t booked accommodation yet)

I would be so so grateful for any insight.

Thank you

Hi zazo,

I’ll be in a similar position this year, did you end up going to fethiye? If so what info did you get in the hospital options?
