Anxiety is getting the better of me

It's currently 2.30am and I cannot sleep.
Im roughly 4 weeks 4 days pregnant and I'm convinced this pregnancy is going to end in a miscarriage.
I know that sounds utterly ridiculous but I fell pregnant 5 years a go (with an ex partner) and it ended with a miscarriage at 5 weeks 3 days. That's been my one and only pregnancy.
I feel like my pregnancy symptoms are lessening and I stupidly took 2 more tests yesterday and the line is slightly weaker than it was 2 days a go when I found out.
Im trying to not take anymore & I'm trying to relax but me and my current partner have been trying for over a year and I'm utterly petrified. Plus we're not getting any younger (31&33).
Did anyone else have fluctuating symptoms or just stop feeling pregnant all together for a little bit?

Mine fluctuated constantly, were never all that strong and then almost completely went by 9 weeks. I'm 16+2 now and all going fine x

Sorry for your previous loss. I don’t think the symptoms (or lack of) necessarily mean anything. In my first pregnancy, I had symptoms start pretty much right away and unfortunately it ended in a MC at 13 weeks (baby stopped developing at 10 weeks). I am now 14 weeks pregnant and all is going well. This time I had no symptoms until 9 weeks.

Think it's supposed to be pretty normal for symptoms to fluctuate and lines vary based on how much fluid you've been drinking etc. Women who got pregnant by accident may often not even realise they're pregnant yet.

I feel your pain. I’m about 5w5d and I have zero symptoms, I had a missed miscarriage in June and had no symptoms then either so expecting the worst again. I started spotting at 6&5 last time so just waiting for it to happen again. It’s really horrible. I’m 35, so try not to stress too much about time, you have a few years more than I do! Hope things keep progressing your end xx

Thank you all for your reassuring words and taking the time to reply. I think it's even harder when (if all goes well) me and my partner don't want to tell anyone until we're 12 weeks so I feel very alone and that there isn't anyone to share the worries with, so I'm glad I've found this forum :) these next (hopefully) 8 weeks are going to be extremely long though.
I've told myself I need to relax and try to keep mind busy, fingers crossed it ends well this time.
X

@Owlette31 I understand how you feel, I have been anxious throughout this pregnancy so far after miscarrying last time. Wishing you all the best with this pregnancy.

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 25/10/2023 21:14

It's completely normal.

Try and focus on what you CAN control - eating well, booking an early reassurance scan, etc

And you are very young still you have years of baby making years ahead of you for future pregnancies xx
