Kind of new to this so not sure I'm doing this properly I hope this is ok

I suffered a misscarrage last year in May then again in August this year and I have tested this month and got a positive and I'm trying to not to worry but I'm confused as to how far along I may be due to mc in August.

So I used to track my cycle but lost my phone and gave up tracking but this is kinda what's gone on for reference
I found out on the 18th of July I was pregnant started light bleeding on the 31st hospital said I should haven been at least 5 weeks but sadly no development and started heavy bleeding on 4th of August passed very large clot and bled until 10th of August I then had a 6 day period on the 30th of August till the 4th of September I then got a 3 day period on the 24th of September till the 27th. Then for some mad reason I decided to test the 21st of October and got a positive result on a cheep test so my question is how far on would that make me? My usual cycle is normally 26 to 29 days and my period last 4 to 5 days mostly 5 days, after the miscarriage my cycle appears to have shortened. Sorry for the long post head is spinning right now hope this make sense thanks everyone

Hey, we are so similar ! I think if you gauge it off an average 28 day cycle you are 4wks and 2days … I’m 4wks 3days and coming off the back of a miscarriage In July at 8 was and chemical in September. We were planning to have a break but my body clearly had other ideas. I also wasn’t tracking so I’m just basing it on an average cycle as this is what my GP does ( my cycle is normally 26 days and bleed for 4/5)
i hope this is a the time for you xxxxx

Thank you that helps so much as I'm looking into booking privately for a scan for reassurance and my head is a bit clouded just now so couldn't work it out. Yes I had just said to my partner he was on a sex ban so we could have a little break evidently that didn't go well lol.

Fingers crossed all goes well for you it's such a worrying time xxxx

I did an e consult with the gp this morning as I was hoping they would prescribe progesterone as it’s now recommended if you’ve had 1 or more miscarriages and bleeding, they refused because it’s less than 3 miscarriages ( that rule drives me insane) however they have referred me to the epu and they have booked me in for a scan at 6 weeks.. maybe push to see if you can get that so you don’t have to pay. If I make it that far I will then probably book a private for 9 ish weeks to see me though to the 12 week scan.
i feel like I’ve been in a constant state of shock and stress for 4 months now and more to come! I am really happy though, just trying to keep calm.
The bans didn’t go well for either of us then. Fingers crossed !!! Xx

My gp is the absolute worst no matter when you call you get Told their is no appointments and the tell you to call the hospital and they just give u standard appointments even with miscarriages.
I think it's shocking that you must suffer 3 miscarriages before they will give you any help at all I don't think they realise what misscarrages can do to a person's overall mental health and wellbeing.

Oh I totally understand the stress feeling and being overwhelmed with everything I'm the same as you just trying to stay calm and not jump at every wee twinge and I have an increase again I'm cm so constantly think am I bleeding and dreading to even look.

Why are our bodies designed to be this way lol xxx

That is so awful !! My gp are a nightmare on the phone but their e consult bookings are pretty quick.
I know, i have mostly just been palmed off and told to refer to the well-being service even though the wait times and months if not years to speak to anyone! It’s shocking.

ohh I know that feeling every time you go to the loo your worrying :(
xxx

Just a little update I managed to get a doctors appointment they couldn't verify the pregnancy as they no longer do tests she checked my urine for utis said I had trac3s of blood and sent me home no explanation nothing. Feel so let down by the nhs these days:( so now just to play the waiting game and see what happens xx

It’s so shocking!! The support is so minimal and just leaves you so defeated :(
keeping everything crossed for you. I’m not sure if it’s an option for you but I did manage to get a deal on a private scan through Groupon for window to the womb with my last pregnancy.. it was about half price, I think they can do reassurance scans from around 6/7 weeks xxx
