Breathless at 31 weeks

Hiya everyone,

just as the subject says really, I’m 31 weeks pregnant and just super breathless all the time and just wondering if anyone has had the same and how they coped. There has been a couple of occasions where it’s got so bad I have blurred vision, feel faint, cold sweat etc.

I have gone into the maternity assessment unit both times after it being particularly bad and both times I have been discharged after a couple of hours due to all my tests being okay so there doesn’t seem to be any other issues.

my blood pressure has gone from around 100/57 to 132/97 and my resting pulse at my last 2 midwife appointments has been above 125 so not sure if that makes a difference to how I’ve been feeling.

I have just started iron tablets too after my blood test results coming back showing I am borderline anaemic so hopefully I should start feeling better soon but at the moment it seems to be getting worse. It has gotten to the point where I can’t sit on the sofa and have to either be leaning over an exercise ball, standing or lying on my side and I generally alternate between these throughout the night to help

other than feeling breathless I am feeling okay so can’t really complain, I don’t want to sound dramatic as I’m sure people have it much worse but just struggling to sit at my office chair in the day and hoping somebody has some tricks to help. 😊
