Hi.
I should be around 31-32 weeks pregnant. Had no nausea so far.
But in the last weeks I've experienced very bad heartburn and loads of mucus in my throat.
Sometimes I feel the need to caught and suddenly all my stomach content goes in my mouth. No nausea though. Have anyone experienced something similar?
I don't mind, as all I care about us the baby being healthy. Just trying to understand if this is normal or I should check it out.
Thanks.

I would get it checked out to be on the safe side, but from what I can recall (it's 30 years since I was pregnant!) it's normal. I found Gaviscon a big help. As with all medication, check with your midwife and/or the pharmacist that it's OK to take this. Good luck.

Hi @BabyHope1

I experienced something very similar in my late second and third trimester. I had very little sickness at the start of my pregnancy. I suffered really bad with a lot of acid reflux and heartburn and would literally be fine one minute and within a second would be running to the toilet as I was going to be sick. No nausea or warning. Was almost positive it was all the acid causing it. I ended up getting prescribed omeprazole to try and settle the acid but I’ll be honest it really didn’t help me all that much. Thankfully, baby was absolutely fine. Speak to your midwife or gp to see if they can prescribe something for you to take and hopefully it’ll help 😊
