Overeating like crazy!!

I'm 36 weeks pregnant with my second (currently have a 19monthold). This pregnancy has had it's ups and downs but overall ok and physically I'm healthy. The only thing I feel I've noticed is my eating habbits. I have ate SO much junk food during this pregnancy it's untrue. At first, it starts out as a nice treat because I'm pregnant but now I'm looking back and thinking wow have I overdone it.

Point blank refuse to weigh myself as I'm scared it'll trigger eating disorder mentality but I am also starting to question if I've already crossed into that territory.

Has anyone else felt like this? People say they eat junk food all the time but mine seems to be much worse than their '2 chocolate bars'. For example, this week I've had 2 huge takeouts, ate 3 donuts, countless chocolate and sweets and general snacking of biscuits and mini cakes.

I want to find some control in my diet again and not use the excuse of pregnancy for these remaining weeks and then start my postpartum journey well. Any help or advice would be hugely appreciated!!

I would try to encourage you not to think about it for a few months. Any plans to breastfeed? The weight will disappear if you can manage it for a decent length of time (about 9 months in my case).

My top tip is too allow yourself anything you like, just eat a portion of veg first. Yes, you can have that takeaway, but not before you eat a carrot. Have a whole bar of dairy milk, but after half a cucumber etc etc. You're programmed to eat at the moment, don't stress about it, but make good choices as much as you can. At the end of the day you're only weels away from an intense weightloss experience 😅
