I had a missed miscarriage in June this year I had a loss of symptoms that I ignored due to lack of knowledge and at my 12 week scan they confirmed I had a MMC

I am now pregnant again a few days after I found out I had the most obvious symptoms boobs aching feeling exhausted and very hungry, Tuesday evening I noticed all of this had vanished so I went for an early scan yesterday

My dates said that I should be 6 weeks the scan showed I am 5weeks & 2 days and that I should come back in two weeks to see if there is progress

Since Tuesday my symptoms have halted and I almost have a gut feeling that this baby won't grow anymore, I have lost hope I am looking for anyone who has experienced similar ❤️‍🩹 I just hope that I'm wrong

Hi, I’m following this because I’m so similar. I’m 5+1 and lost all symptoms. 5th pregnancy with no living children :( keeping everything crossed x

Georg1994 · 21/10/2023 17:26

@Lsg95 I'm so sorry your in this limbo too :( it's really awful my heart actually breaks for you after what you have been through I hope that things work out for you, it's hard to understand why some have it so easy to have babies and others have hell and hurt to have theirs 💔 my symptoms have been totally gone since Tuesday evening the only thing I have had past two evenings is really bad trapped wind but I'm not confident that means anything at all

I’ve got a scan booked in for tomorrow so hopefully an end to the torture. Have you got a scan booked xx

Georg1994 · 21/10/2023 20:30

@Lsg95 I had one yesterday I thot I was 6 weeks but I'm only 5weeks & 2 according to the scan tho this didn't make me feel any better as ther is a chance that it looks that size as it's stopped growing but I hope I just got my dates wrong, have to go back in two weeks time it will be a long wait, what time is your scan I will be thinking of you 🫂

Hi ladies. I don’t want to give false hope, but I also don’t want to read and not comment. I created a thread on here myself when I was in the early stages of pregnancy, as my symptoms disappeared over night on and off between 5-8 weeks. I was going for scans and all okay as I have had 4 miscarriages prior to my current pregnancy. I’m now 37 weeks and can very much confirm the symptoms came back with a vengeance. Best of luck and I hope all goes okay xx

Georg1994 · 22/10/2023 06:21

@Sophiey11 thank you for your message and congratulations on your pregnancy I'm sure it is amazing to be at that stage, would they have disappeared for a week at a time? Mines vanished on tues evening and I've had literally nothing since it's now Sunday, would that have happened to you?

Hi @Georg1994 yes my symptoms stopped for a while. I started having THROBBING boobs around weeks 5/6 then out of no where they just stopped completely, and I didn’t have it after that. Have you thought about maybe tracking your HCG with strips? That is what I did to see how my lines were progressing. The amount of times I googled ‘pregnancy symptoms disappearing’ you wouldn’t believe. I went 4 days without any nausea etc, was convinced I was going to miscarry then had horrendous morning sickness for the next 14 weeks xx

Georg1994 · 23/10/2023 07:12

@Sophiey11 I've had nothing since Tuesday and that's been consistent but who knows maybe just that's how it will be for me, I done a test this morning and I'm pretty sure it's a dye stealer which I haven't had yet praying that means somthing, thanks for your advice il stick with testing, having had a MMC in the past has ruined pregnancy for me wish I could be happy and enjoy it just. Thank you 🤗

Hey @Georg1994 just letting you know that I’m in the same boat as you. I’m 6 weeks today and my symptoms have completely disappeared.

I also had a MMC in June :(

The only thing I have is cramping in my tummy after I eat. Boobs no longer tender and I’m not tired at all. I’ve had very few symptoms since day one, no nausea. I have a gut feeling that I feel the same as I did in June.

Im going to wait till next week and contact the EPU. I’d rather be certain that I’m further along so if there is no fetal pole again I’ll know for certain that its all over. The ambiguity is so hard.

The waiting is really shit, I feel for you. Hopefully you will get a positive outcome next week, please let us know how you get on xx

@LexIvy88 oh I’m so sorry for your loss and that you are feeling this way but I do have a slightly positive story for you, I regained my symptoms sore boobs tiredness and peeing loads a full week later for about two days
then yesterday evening I had some brown staining on my underwear with some more pink cm this morning I was so upset thought for sure that this pregnancy was over!
Rang EPU they gave me a scan reluctantly and it showed baby progressing well from last scan and I even seen a little flicker of a heart beat, I know that things can still change but for now I am holding on to hope,

have noticed a slight drop in symptoms today but still tender boobs and just trying to ride the waves of this journey I really hope that you have a positive outcome and your symptoms come back soon I really lost hope last week and when I woke up with sore boobs I was so so happy I hope this happens to you too!
keep in touch wer in this together ❤️

Just to say not to be disheartened if your tests start getting lighter from this point - read up on the hook effect before panicking. If you're like me and can't help but keep testing, do one pregnancy test and then dilute the same urine sample and retest. Second test will probably be stronger.

LexIvy88 · 26/10/2023 21:09

Ahh @Georg1994 this is so amazing, I’m so happy for you! I hope that your little one keeps progressing.

Honestly, I keep poking them for any sign of sensitivity, driving myself mad and I’ve totally accepted in my head that it’s all over.
I’lll let you know if it comes back, it’s been 4 days now.

You have given me some hope again x

LexIvy88 · 05/11/2023 12:50

Hey, just an update from me.
I went for a scan after worrying myself sick and everything is fine. I was measuring a few days behind but have been told not to be concerned at this stage, I even saw a heartbeat.

Im on progesterone now due to spotting so have been feeling sick/tired and have a metallic taste in my mouth, but I’m pretty sure this is due to the extra hormones and if I wasn’t taking it I would continue to feel nothing. I was convinced I was miscarrying again so it really does turn out that you can feel nothing and still be okay. Hopefully this continues and my little blueberry holds on.

Hope you are all okay over here x

Hi ladies, I'm in the same boat currently and would love to know how you all got on. Hope everything well well for you 🙏

Sophiey11 · 05/06/2024 17:39

@AprilShowers2021 pleased to report that all was okay with my baby, she is now 7 months. What I have learnt is that ‘symptoms’ are not always the safety net. I had a MMC at 12 weeks and had symptoms of sickness etc even after I had surgery. The pregnancy above I lost a lot of my symptoms by 12 weeks and ended up having a healthy pregnancy. Best of luck to you x
