Early pregnancy scan pic…. Boy or girl?

So I’m almost 8 weeks pregnant on my second baby (also have 8 month old) & I had an early scan for peace of mind etc and thankfully all good and radiographer happy with baby & all the other bits so far.
we didn’t find out the sex of our first child (baby boy) and it was lovely but I still like the fun of guessing! Ramzi theory etc im a bit rubbish at but some people go by these alot! I’ll attach pic of scan below. So far in this pregnancy it’s quite different to my first symptom wise and how I’m feeling more sick/nauseous and generally unwell. So just posting for a bit of fun and also some advice for having a 16 month age gap… lol.

Old wives tale your baby is positioned in the place of a girl 😂🩷 but genuinely have no clue! Please let us know if the old wives tale is true x

PaxOmnibus · 21/10/2023 01:48

Ramzy theory suggests a boy if I’m reading the scan right.
However
Old wives tale re sickness. If you’re generally feeling sick / unwell for most of the day it’s a girl.

Other old wives tale
( Irish here so there are lots )
As you grow if your hands and face puff out, if you put weight on what appears to be all over then it’s a boy. Girl bumps tend to be lovely round bumps with little effect on other parts of your body.

Im going for girl because of you feeling unwell.

Ps I had twins….no age gap😳🤯🤣 my only bit of advice is,
you don’t have to be perfect at everything
the hoovering can wait
Lidl and Aldi nappies are the best
Enjoy and tell us when baby arrives.

No way of even guessing at less than 8 weeks! No one knows where in the womb baby is from those scan pics, image could be flipped, could move within a couple of weeks as the womb expands. I thought this stuff with predictions usually went from clear 12 week scans at least. Just wait a bit until you've at least had 12 week scan positive news.

PickledScrump · 21/10/2023 11:05

There’s no way of knowing this early. You need to wait until 12 week scan to see the nub as it can be accurate if it’s developed enough and you get a good image. None of the other “theories” or old wives tales are true unfortunately. All my pregnancies have been completely different and I have 3 girls

I’ll defo keep posted as my 12 week scan will be next month! Honestly either way as long as they’re healthy im happy - just a bit of fun! Also really dunno if we will keep a secret this time or find out.. hmmm

Also did anyone else first trimester feel general unwellness… not vomiting etc but I mean aches and pains feverish with no fever, don’t have Covid and it’s on and off not all the time, going on a few weeks now but I’m wondering if it’s pregnancy related !

No.
but it’s best to make a gp appointment if you’re worried
Lots of people do feel under the weather when pregnant

Healthfreak95 · 21/10/2023 19:02

Yes I defo will if it carries on. Tbh I think it’s tiredness more than anything with my 8mo etc. plus weathers been up and down and I usually get something viral this time of year but will defo keep an eye on it. No temps etc so thankfully not too worried x

It’s looking like a girl if I’m reading it right
ie nub theory
