UTI 10 weeks

Has anyone unintentionally let a uti go untreated for a few days? I’m 10 weeks now. Tuesday I started to feel a little irritated but once I drank water I was fine. I wasn’t having symptoms of a uti like I usually would, and I get them ALOT! So thought nothing of it, today I can tell it’s coming on more than it has this week as I got a pain in my back, going to get antibiotics now but just a little worried thinking I should have maybe gone sooner, have I’ve left it too long, could something happen from this. Anxious🫠

Hey Hun, with my son's pregnancy I got them constantly. One time it was almost symptomless until I woke in serve pain and then poured with blood. Panic set in and I thought I was losing my baby so rushed to hospital. It was just a very bad uti! They gave me antibiotics and all was fine. So I'm guessing if it can get that bad, you should be fine and good you're getting antibiotics now. My doctors told me to drink cranberry juice regularly to help naturally reduce them x

Oh to add, it becomes a risk of preterm labour etc once it becomes a kidney infection and I think even that has to get fairly bad. I don't think a few days would have done that much x

Aw that sounds awful so glad everything was fine in the end for you! I got antibiotics now so hoping they start working soon, I hate a uti anyway but my anxiety just goes through the roof now being pregnant🫠 I didn't realise how common they was in pregnancy so that makes me feel a little better xx
