Abdominal scan bleeding / spotting

Hi everyone

I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

I have seen baby multiple times (including 2 days ago) and everything looks great.

But after each abdominal scan i've had, I have had a small red bleed or some red spotting.

This has happened each time now and and can't be a coincidence. Any ideas? EPU presumed a hematoma last time i called.

I'm 12 weeks + 4

Thanks

Hi, I've had exactly the same thing, went back for another scan and heartbeat check and everything was fine.
I was also advised I had cells from the cervix growing outside the cervix(if you have a Google I'm sure you'll get the name, sorry I forget!) - apparently common and not dangerous but can cause bleeds, so could also be a factor. Hormones in pregnancy can be a trigger.

I would ring EPU again and just get a check to put your mind at rest. I've had 2 bleeds now and they've said each time just go in for a check, and everything has been fine.

You'll be fine too, let us know how you get on x

Bleeding is totally unexplained. It's been labelled a threatened miscarriage x
