Skull theory

To start with, I am just happy to have seen a healthy baby on my 12+4 week scan.

Everyone seems to be giving me options on the gender. I can only use the skull theory because no nub was visible.

I know there's no science behind it but was it right/wrong for any of you?

In one photo mine looks 'blocky' and in others very round. Because it was moving around so much, who knows 😂

Do you have a photo? X

It won't seem to let me attach them.
But one is a round head and everyone says girl, another looks blocky and people say boy.

I'm really skeptical of it 😂

all babies skulls are the same shape until adolescence, there’s no way of telling sex from the skull

Thank you! Some people seem to think it's a real solid way of guessing but I couldn't understand it myself. Babies don't come out with manly bone structure 😂

@Lithgow2000 as you’ve seen the shape on the skull on the picture changes as the sonogram moves. Nub theory can be accurate but only if you have a clear image and know what you’re looking at. All the other theories and old wives tales are just nonsense. Some will swear they’re true but it’s 50/50 guesswork

Thank you! Baby had legs up the whole time despite moving around lots so no nub shot

Any thoughts about our 12+3 skull?! X

After all my research i found the skull theory is really really inaccurate and basically just depends on the angle. Blocky skulls have been girls and round skulls have been boys 😂 if you have a nub shot that's supposed to be really accurate

@Lithgow2000 thank you 😊 yeh I guess heads are all pretty random. Any nub guesses? I'm not finding out but desperate to know guesses for some reason 😂xx

I'm not sure if I'm actually looking at the nub or a leg but if it's the nub i'd say a little boy 😊 there are groups on facebook who are really great and this and will have a look for you. Mine has no nub shot in any photo 😂
