Hi all, I am 4 weeks 2 days today.

Thought I was coming on as had been having really bad stomach and leg pains and even cramp in my calf. Having shooting nerve pains and my glutes. It's making me very nervous, is this normal especially with adeno and endo? Took three tests today and all lines seemed strong

I'm 14 weeks now. Cramps generally settled but do still get them on and off. The first few weeks it kept feeling like I was getting my period too.

Oh delighted to hear you are 14 weeks now and all is going well. How are you feeling in general in your pregnancy. I just want to hit fast forward on a few weeks. I took tests again this morning and they are most definitely darker which is given me hope. I had a chemical in October and the line was very faint from the get go and didn't progress much . Got the 1-2 week CB on the Thurs and then the Fri I had bad cramps and a heavy 3 day bleed. Then was still tested positive faintly for little over a week. The pains just really make me fear the worse. I'm just praying it's a case of my endo reacted to all the extra hormones pumping through my body

Hi @Millybops. I have endo and in each of my 4 pregnancies have experienced a painful endo flare up during the first trimester. Very specific pain, much worse than period-type pain/cramps. I'm under the care of a specialist consultant who said that a small minority of people with endo (particularly deep infiltrating endo) experience this in early pregnancy, when the hormones are raging. My pain disappeared pretty much overnight at 10 weeks and hasn't returned (currently 16 weeks) - the consultant thinks this is due to the placenta taking over hormone production, etc. Try to speak to a specialist if you're concerned, because your situation may be different, but I wanted to share my experience because I remember Googling/searching and finding so little out there on endo and pregnancy, besides the generic advice that pregnancy often improves endo, which sadly for me is simply not the case. Take care and good luck with your pregnancy.

Hi thank you so much for taking the time out to respond to me... I know anything I was finding online was majority studies show it improved for people so safe to say panicking here. I had the tiniest amount of spotting last night when I wiped not red but pinkish.. online it says it's common at 5 weeks when the placenta takes over 🤞 I always suffer with my lower back during my cycle and it's at me today and yesterday so I'm praying it's again only the case that it's Christmas time and I've been running around like a headless chicken and then sprawled on the sofa at times.
I initially planned to check it with my GP after the new year as in to rule out another chemical but I think I'll check in with them sooner. How are you getting on with your pregnancy? X

My womb was attached to my back basically before and my last surgery a few years back was cancelled due to complications during the surgery. So I'm clutching at straws and hoping that's why my back is so sore because of the hormones. X

I have pcos and endometriosis and currently 11 weeks. I've pretty much had constant cramping throughout pregnancy

Millybops · 27/12/2023 13:24

Hi Moonlight dreamer were you cramps bad ? Did you have any spotting? I just want to fast forward a bit of time 😭

MoonIightDreamer · 27/12/2023 13:45

@Millybops my cramping was really severe. I did have ivf tho so im pumped full of extra hormones. Cramps Started around the 4 week mark when period would have been due. I was certain on different occasions that something must definitely be wrong but I've had 2 scans and baby was doing well . Spotting is completely normal. I was told so long as your not having heavy bleeding or heavy bleeding combined with cramping then there's no need to get checked out. My anxiety has been so bad tho after a previous loss so I opted for private scans .

How did you find the IVF ? I had it a couple of years ago and surprisingly reacted really well to meds. 1 failed IVF and then a chemical back in 2018 nothing left in the freezer. Chemical again in Oct and now this surprise. I'm praying that these cramps are nothing more than the endo reacting to the surge of hormones. I've had my darkest lines on pregnancy tests on Christmas day and I'm refusing to test again. Tiny bit of brown spot earlier and now lots of cm tinted with a hint of pink.... It's the unknown that drives you insane.

When are you due your baby ?
