Iām 27 weeks pregnant and have been side sleeping for a while now. The trouble is after about 4/5 hours in bed I wake up with hip pain, so I roll over sleep for an hour and then wake up with hip pain on the other side, repeat until I get fed up and get out of bed.
I know this is a common pregnancy symptom but I feel like Iāve been suffering a lot longer than some of my friends who had it. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what worked for them?
So far Iāve triedā¦
- 2 different pregnancy pillows
- pillow between the knees
- mattress topper
- memory foam mattress
- hot water bottle
- midwife recommended osteopath
The osteopath gave me a couple of exercises to do which work but only for a short while. They did also suggest Deep Heat but I donāt think that can be used in pregnancy.
Any suggestions appreciated. TYIA.
