Hi all. Not actively ttc and hoping for quite the opposite a little backstory I have PCOS and missed periods usually are not a big deal (ive missed 9 periods in a row before now). Usually when I am pregnant when I have had my children I am incredibly sick very very early on with sore breasts immediately this has been the case for them all. Bought some tests this morning as I have not had a period since mid august just as a precaution but with no real worries, the first one acted a little strange it took a very very long time for the urine to pass through the test (usually a test will wash over pink/purple as the sample spreads across it) this didn’t happen as it usually would and instead did so extremely slowly then the test line came up first before the control line worrying me immediately as it was showing both lines but the strangest thing happened too and for the first 30-40 minutes after the test there was 2 other faint lines so 4 lines in total that then faded off after a few hours leaving a fainter positive line. I have then across the course of the day taken 3 more tests which have all worked as fast as they should 2 of which are different brands and they are all strong negatives.. you read that you are more likely to get a false negative than a false positive but just looking for anyone that may have had a similar experience and had actually not been pregnant? We have had an incredibly hard year with a lot of sadness and I am worrying tremendously about this. Surely due to the fact my last period was 2 Calendar months ago and I’m due to miss a second one If I was pregnant I wouldn’t have had 3 negative tests in a day as it wouldn’t be where I am testing too early with low hormone levels 🤔…

thank you in advance xx

i have attached a photo of the suspected faulty test but it isn’t the best quality due to rushing xx

Test looks flooded so I would discount it. Some tests are better than others. Boots own early results test is currently the best out there, I’d get one of those and use first morning urine for a clear answer. If the others were negative then it’s probably negative
