New Car Help!

I’m on the hunt for a new car due to DP getting a new job (won’t be able to use our car most of the day) baby due in March and trying to find something that is cheap / economical (finances going to be tighter due to mat leave) that will also fit a decent car seat. Our “main” car for long journeys / holidays should be fine, it’s just a run around for me that I’m needing. Any recommendations on a smallish car?

Define "small" car . I'm hoping to change my car next year and please god there will be a baby in it the Kia creed is as far as my budget will stretch but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable on a car smaller than that with a baby in it but then I have to travel a bit of a distance to and from work as well.

Hyundai i10 has a surprising amount of room for a small car. I had my DC rear facing till 5 in a minikid and could get a 5ft 10 passenger in the front.

Corsa's are surprisingly roomy. My 6' 2" son is perfectly happy in his.

Hired a Honda Jazz whilst abroad, and was surprised at just how roomy it was inside compared to my own small run around.
