Movement at 30weeks

I'm just wondering what your babys "normal" is for movement at 30weeks. I have an anterior placenta which I've never had before and I am definitely finding the movements more subtle than my other pregnancies. Just interested in other people's experiences. For context my baby generally moves about in the morning while I have my brekkie, then throughout the day I'll notice little shifts of movement and the occasional punch / urge to go pee, and then at night time she will have a tumble about and nothing much during the night. My previous 2 pregnancies possibly were the same during the day but often the movements woke me up during the night for an hour or so. I know they don't move about constantly but just don't know what counts as babys little routine.

Hey, I didn’t have an anterior placenta but I never really got a routine. Baby would be active in the morning and more so at night but throughout the day it was very sporadic. I found it stressful and think the advice to have a routine is annoying, they’re not robots! I think as long as you’re feeling regular movement, you’re fine.

My little wriggler is currently asleep on my chest when she should be in her cot!

Good luck and congrats! 💓

If less movements are the norm for this pregnancy then that's generally fine, it's abnormal movements for that specific pregnancy you have to watch out for.

I’m 27 weeks with my first and have anterior placenta. Tbh the kicks count stuff is stressing me out as I haven’t noticed any pattern yet.

Thank you ladies for replying. I agree with you all. I'm a mama of previous losses so I think I am quite focused on the movements. If I was ever really concerned I'd def phone up to hospital but I find her movements so varied from one day to the next that it is hard to know. Literally counting down the final weeks til she is here😖
