Anyone's hair go curly in pregnancy?

When I was pregnant with dd my usually wavy hair went quite curly from about 17 weeks. It stayed like this until she was over one. Has anyone else noticed this? Someone told me it is a sign of carrying a girl. I'm now 20 weeks pregnant with no.2 but no sign of curly hair!

Just trying to speculate what sex it is really since we decided not to ask at scan!

No but I have a friend who had the most glorious curly hair until pregnant with her first child-it has been poker straight ever since-weird

Mine didnt go curly but it did have very bold ginger/red streaks running through it. They havnt apeared with this pg. but last 1 was a boy and this is a girl so perhaps that has something to do with it.

My hair went curly with the first one (girl) and stayed just wavy the second time (also girl ). Now it's still wavy and I'm expecting a boy. So not much of an exact science I'm afraid!

My sister's hair went curly, and my friends hair has been straight since after her first birth.

I wish my hair was that exciting.

Mine went went wavy when pregnant - DS is now 21 months and it's still not gone back to being straight. I'm not used to it yet!

Mine did but I hadn't clocked it was when I was pregnant until I read this!

My hair was poker straight and I used to have it spiral permed (it was the 90s!). When I was pg with ds I decided that I would no longer be able to spend hours on my hair so I had the perm cut out. Except it never grew straight again. Its really curly still 10 years later so I now have to straighten it, typical!

(Oh and as above, it was with DS not DD).

I was the opposite - went straight. Also my skin went much drier (is usually v greasy). Hair still straighter now (dd2 is 7 months almost). Skin has gradually become greasier as the months have progressed.

Mine went bonkers just after I'd had DS2. I have poker straight hair apart from this ridiculous cluster of really curly hair around the back It has stayed that way now for two years!

My previously curly hair went straight with a pathetic wave
