Healthy pregnancy after taking morning after pill

Long story short: I took the morning after pill after having unprotected sex with my husband (yes I know it was deeply irresponsible…) but I must have already ovulated which rendered it useless as now I’m pregnant. Obviously very much unplanned and now we are getting our heads around welcoming baby no. 2.

I’ve read that the morning after pill doesn’t have any effect on subsequent pregnancies but can’t help feeling a little concerned. Has anyone else fell pregnant after taking it and gone on to have healthy pregnancies/babies?

I do know someone who took it and had a baby. They are a perfectly healthy young teen now.

Yes, I took it and I’m now 36 weeks - I was reassured by my midwife that it would have no bad effects on baby as it just doesn’t work if you’ve ovulated already :)

Happened to a friend of mine and their 1 year old is very healthy and happy x

It won't affect the baby at all.

My daughter took the morning after pill and she now has a fabulous 3 year old .She is 100% normal and definitely on the ball!

Well, ds is 19 now. He's sporty, healthy, studying computer science, doing fine!

I mostly forget that I took the MAP - I'd only been with dh a few weeks when I got pregnant, and we weren't quite sure where we were at. But he wasn't to be budged.

If you're getting there... congratulations x

Hey! Was everything okay, I am in the EXACT same scenario as you and finding it hard not to panic or worry did everything turn out okay?
