Hey Baby Mammass,
Im from Walsall and currently 11weeks pregnant with my first.
Any other pregnant mamas out there from the West Midlands? Would love to know other people on a similar journey and nearby ❤️

@Infertilitylife Heyaa will you be giving birth at newcross hospital then? Im in 2 minds whether to stick to the Manor or Newcross.

Hello :) yeah I’ll be giving birth at New Cross and so far so good. I did contemplate choosing the Manor but I live really close to New Cross so seemed better to choose there.

Hi, I am also 11 weeks, should be 12 on Saturday and I am Tamworth based 😊

Gloopyhoop · 13/10/2023 10:15

I'm 38 weeks and from Worcestershire ☺️ this is my 3rd! Hoping to be induced next week due to stalled growth 🤞

mummyh2016 · 13/10/2023 19:33

Sorry to gatecrash as I'm not pregnant but if you're low risk I cannot rave enough about the MLU at New Cross. Had both of my children on there and the staff are amazing, my second labour was the most exhilarating experience of my life. I had the choice of New Cross or the Manor and hands down round choose New Cross any day of the week for anything medically related.

Infertilitylife · 13/10/2023 20:16

@mummyh2016 I’m consultant led but the midwives I see each week at Fetal Assessment are amazing :)

Huriya · 13/10/2023 20:56

@Hormonaltonight Oh Tamworth is pretty close to where I am.. which hospital is it for you then?

@Gloopyhoop Ooh youre nearly to the end! Not long left now, do you feel nervous?

@mummyh2016 Do you know what the hospitals like? Im so confused whether to go for the Manor or Newcross.

@Huriya it’s Good Hope for me although was given the option of Burton as well. But Good Hope is closer!

Gloopyhoop · 13/10/2023 21:57

Yep but it feels like so long away 🥴 I've had problems with growth restriction & reduced movements again this time and was hoping my consultant would send me to be induced at 37 weeks but nope!
I'm more nervous to spontaneously go into labour than I am to be induced, because I want the epidural again & it worries me if I wait too long they'll say no.

I'm near Walsall but I have a 6 month old!

Huriya · 13/10/2023 22:47

@Gloopyhoop Really hope it goes all well for you! Let us know how you get one x

Gloopyhoop · 14/10/2023 08:01

@Redpanda21 yep! I had my last 2 there too

@Huriya thank you! And of course, if she says no again I'll need somewhere to vent 😂

Redpanda21 · 14/10/2023 13:47

@Gloopyhoop Had my last there and this one will be there too x

Huriya · 12/01/2024 02:42

@Gloopyhoop How is it going? Hoping youve had the baby by now 😁

Gloopyhoop · 12/01/2024 08:03

@Huriya hi! Yes I have, on the 24th October she was born. Worcester was so busy I ended up being sent home after a 2 day stay because their list for induction was so long then offered to go to Hereford. Baby was born the same day I went there by emergency section due to a cord prolapse 😞 Really wasn't what I wanted in the slightest but it was the only option.
How are you doing?
