Not sure it’s right place , reposting as I previously posted in chat but got no response .
I've booked my smear test this month, it works out to be about 2 days after my ovulation date. Were trying to conceive, would this be an issue? Should we just skip a month? I know you can't have one done if you are pregnant but 2dpo I wouldn't be... so I should be OK?

I'm sure last time I had one I was asked a bunch of questions at first including what sort of contraception I was using so I'm worried I'll say "none" and she will refuse to test me. But I can't find any clear guidance on nhs or anywhere and I didn't really want to be bothering my GP

I’d go get it done tbh. They will tell you there whether they advise it or not but if your ttc this could mean putting a smear off for a long time. Personally I’d get it done sooner rather than later

It's fine. The only advise not to have it done in pregnancy as the cervix is more vascular and so it's likely to cause more bleeding/affect results.

I’d still go but mention you’re TTC

Thanks for the comments. You have helped to clear up my confusion . I'll get on with it.

I had mine done while ttc. I conceived that month as well. It was about a week before ovulation because I ovulated quite late in the end.

@Blue2020 Sounds like everything lined up perfectly for you. 😊
