I feel like I’m running out of time

Me and my DH have been trying for a second baby for over 10 months and had no joy! Every period feels like a stab in the heart. My DH will be 40 next year and I’m just worried I’m running out of time FAST!!!l

Has anyone got any glimmers of hope they can tell me about?

The thought that I might never have another child again is making me feel so low. I’m very grateful I’ve got one child as I know so many people sadly can’t conceive kids but it doesn’t stop me feeling upset about my situation.

If your username references your birth year then you're younger than me. It took over a year for me to get pregnant the first time (miscarried) and only a couple of months the second. Its a mystery, really, but you know you can and you aren't running out of time. But its stressful!!

I was born in 87 and I'm current pregnant with my 3rd. Had a mmc in April this year too. Mens fertility doesn't decrease the same as women's with age. So your husband turning 40 shouldn't be an issue.
It's hard when it's something you really want. If you get to a year with no luck then get in touch with your gp.

I'm 35 coming 36, was trying for 2 years for number two and it happened a couple of months ago. Don't give up hope you don't know when it will happen

I will be turning 34 next month. I’m a bit worried about my DH because we are both overweight but have been trying to lose the weight through healthy eating and exercise. I’ve nearly reached my weight goal but my DH is really struggling to shift the weight and I’m worried that might be a main factor?

Also as most people have, we have been struggling a bit financially with the Cost of Living crisis and sometimes I think is this someone’s way of telling me you shouldn’t have another kid?

How do you deal with people asking questions about having anymore kids? I find people always ask when I’m on my period which doesn’t help.

Just a suggestion and they aren't cheap but found proxeed sachets really improved my partners sperm. We were under a clinic so could see the results. I would also say that healthy eating and regular exercise is more important than weight imo.
Initially when people asked me I'd fob them off or say soon. Then I started saying it's not easy for us and we are looking into options/ hoping it will happen soon. A lot of people felt awful then and said sorry I didn't know or I really hope it works out but I hope it stops them saying it to someone else
