(possibly a v.silly question)... could this be morning sickness or a vomiting bug??!

I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. With my 1st pregnancy I had no sickness at all and was pretty straightforward.

This time round I have felt nauseous for the last 3 nights until yesterday afternoon where i've been sick pretty much every 2 hrs and twice so far today. Can't eat anything and all fluids come up! (have learnt that lucozade tastes nicer coming up than water lol).

My son has had a tummy virus for last 10 days- no vomit tho just diarrhoea.

Does morning sickness affect people like this? Other than dashing to the loo every few hrs I feel fine otherwise!

Tricky one, it could be either or both - I think with a bug you would feel more generally unwell. Also if you had the bug you son had you would probably have diarrhoea too.

On the other hand bringing up fluids does sound more like a bug than morning sickness!

Sorry to be no help

I had sickness much worse during the second pregnancy too.

It sounds more like a virus, probably the same bug as your son. You're more susceptable to these things when you are pregnant.

Morning sickness usually starts off more gradually.

HI
i suffered with moring sickness with my first pregnancy
it started at about 8 weeks with me and i was sick when my tummy was empty - it got really bad around 10/11 weeks when i could not keep a thing down then settled back to just the mornings until 20 weeks

with me it came on gradually - feeling a little bit sicker everyday until i finally felt the urder to actually be sick

yours is a bit of a tricky one - could be MS but could also be a bug if your kiddie has been under the weather - whatever it is its miserable and I am going through it again at the mo - its not nice.

hope you feel better soon

Hopefully it is a virus then- (thinks hard) How do people cope with physical sickness when they have a child to look after? Its so debilitating - not to mention 'interesting' when DS (16 months) comes in aswell to see what mummy is doing with her head down the loo!

I had food poisoning at 6 weeks pregnant with 1st child, I thought it was morning sickness turn out it was campylobacter ended up giving public health samples for ages. I find acupuncture helps
