Trying again after a loss

Good evening everyone.

I was TTC for 8 years with no luck. I was on the road to IVF. I amazingly fell pregnant for the first time and it's ended in a loss. I'm devastated.

Of course me and my partner want to try again - it's what we've always dreamed of. I'm so scared I'll be waiting years again to conceive as this one took so so long.

Has anybody else been in my situation and managed to get pregnant again soon after. But had lots of problems getting pregnant before hand.

I'm excited to try again, but I have a big feeling of disappointment that it won't. Life can be so cruel to the best of us and I'm just scared. Xx

I had a very early IVF loss at about 4+2 in July. I randomly got pregnant naturally on the next cycle which was a huge shock.

I've also had other naturally conceived miscarriages but taken around 8 months to get pregnant again in between.

I'm very sorry for your loss..

We were going to start contacting clinics abroad for IVF after years of trying to get pregnant with no avail and all tests being good. Just before we did, I fell pregnant in March. This ended in a loss at 9 weeks, I was absolutely devastated as thought I would never get pregnant again. We tried again at the first ovulation after mc. Negative but got pregnant at the next cycle and I am now nearly 17 weeks still crossing fingers that all will go well. I was so certain that I would not get pregnant again especially with my age and history. What I would say is that if mentally ready, try again as soon as possible as they say that you are more fertile after an mc. They don't know why but it happens to a lot of women.

Oh I'm so happy for you. Pretty much the same situation as me. 17 weeks! Good luck and enjoy it and thank you for the positive advice 🥺
