Hi all,

I posted yesterday but today has made me question things.

I'm currently 12days post ovulation. 7 or so days away from period.

My tests (in order) we're darker and then got incredibly light yesterday to get a tiny bit darker today. Has anyone had this? Is this just a chemical? I've not had this before.

Thanks

Don’t use Clearblue, get a decent pink dye test. There’s so many people having these lines with clearblue even when they aren’t pregnant. They are just crap tests, a big sign of them not actually being positive are the thin and broken lines.

I don’t think your dates are correct, usually your period is around 14 days after ovulation give or take a few days either way. 19 days would be a very long Luteal phase.

Generally even early tests often won’t show a positive more than 3 or 4 days before your period is due despite what they claim. Try again in a few days, boots own brand early results tests are currently the best on the market. Make sure you use first morning urine and don’t count any lines that come up after the time frame

Only the one in the middle seems legit. All others look like evap lines as they are not going all the way. Try another brand, Clearblue is notoriously bad.

Hi @hanay0089
Middle test looks positive hun. Try Boots Pregnancy Test Strips, good to test on x

I’d be surprised you’d even get any positive 12 dpo, are you sure your dates are right as that would be a very long luteal phase. Try first response but honestly my tests didn’t get consistently darker

hanay0089 · 10/10/2023 14:49

my last period was on the 20th September and I started ovulation on the 29th September. So that was12 days ago. I have a 28 day cycle and I have to test early as I'm on miscarriage treatments.

Actually on the rapid response I see no line- feels unlikely that all of my clear blue would have an error or evap line but to be honest at this point I think it's a chemical pregnancy- I've been here before.

Thank you all so much for commenting- so kind :) xx

Have a look at some of the previous posts about the clearblue, these lines keep happening even when people definitely haven’t been pregnant. They really need to be taken off the market. Rapid response ones aren’t as sensitive you need to stick to early ones and stick to pink dye tests. 9 days after a period is very very early to ovulate, especially with a 28 day cycle. You’d more likely only be around 7dpo now which is definitely too early to expect a positive. Get some decent early pink dye tests and hold off until a few days before your period, don’t waste money on clearblue. Fingers crossed you get your bfp.

ASGIRC · 10/10/2023 15:58

Those lines dont go all the way, the tests arent valid!
Clear blue is terrible for those!

And if the FRER is showing negative... It could be a chemical, obviously, but I would trust a pink dye test more than a clear blue one (or several)

hanay0089 · 10/10/2023 16:03

They really should be taken off the market then shouldn't they Hmm

OP this was my clearblue test 12dpo, I am pregnant (now 13 weeks). I’m sorry but the line was fainter but much thicker. I would order some first response early tests or even some cheapie HCG tests like easy@home.

I think the lines are too thin. Definitely try different brand. 🤞🏼
