you will be contacted by the diabetes nurse.dietician and will be asked to go to see them with youir results, if you cannot control it with diet alone you will have to take insulin injections. are you altering your diet or just eating as normal? i had gd during pregnancy too.

My levels are supposed to be 4-6 mmol/L before meals and below 8 mmol/L two hours after a meal. I've been following the diet for around 6 weeks now and they've been fine.

10.7 is getting pretty high, especially for a pre-meal result and especially if you've had it happen several times in a row. I would definitely ring -- they may well want to start you on insulin if diet alone isn't working any more.

i was induced at 39+3 days and he weighed 7 lbs 15. have they told you you will most likely be induced? the good thing though is that you will get a scan at about 32 weeks and get to see baby so clear!!

Not all hospitals do routinely deliver early for GD (mine are fine with me going to at least 40 weeks) -- but yes, disneystar, if you do end up on insulin (which sounds very likely) they probably will want to induce you early.

What have you been eating, disneystar? If you post what you've been eating the last few days there may be an obvious culprit (although if you are getting 10.7 as a morning fasting reading then it sounds less likely to be a dietary issue).
