I am seeing the doc tomorrow anyway but just wondered if anyone had anything similar. I am 36 weeks preg with DC2. I am pretty sure the baby is almost if not fully engaged. Since yesterday I have developed a constant stabbing pain inside my vagina. Persists when resting or moving. Its not crippling but just constantly there. I assume its the baby moving down or ligaments or something I just dont recall having it with DC1.

I had this with all 3 of mine, like sitting on knitting needles is how woman often describe it. It is normal and nothing to worry about. Mention it at your appointment anyway I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Could be baby moving down, sitting on cervix etc.

Thanks. Thats exactly what its like. I have also been having the shock like pains from when baby pushes against my cervix (or thats how it feels). This pregnancy lark is delightful isnt it.

I remember this well. The 'baby booting my cervix' feeling. Hurts a lot I remember. Am not looking forward to having this again.

Yes, I've had this too - with all three. Got it now at 29 weeks - hoping it won't continue for the next 11.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.
