Clear blue are t reliable and often show lines when negative. Did you actually get a positive test at all? Even with hook effect there should be a clear line even if fainter than they were previously

3luckystars · 06/10/2023 21:26

Hook effect is for much later on in the pregnancy (if it is the same thing I’m thinking about?)

At this stage there should be a line. You can also get a blood test from your doctor. All the best.

Sunsunny17 · 06/10/2023 21:28

Boom! 8th September

also. I got pink dyes however they’ve gradually gotten fainter with no period.

Thank you, kindly. I really appreciate that. Clear blue showed up within seconds. However I do not understand whether it’s hook effect blocking me. It’s been two week of no lines

If its the hook effect if you add 10% pee and 90% water a line should show

Starlight11111 · 04/11/2023 15:59

@roro87 what was your outcome? I'm left confused as had BFP yesterday on three different pink line tests but today back to negative, not even faint xx

Sunsunny17 · 08/11/2023 11:10

I’ve not been given an outcome even EPU sent me home waffling apology. Cannot fathom what’s happening

just had a baby in august and unprotected intercourse, however nobody wants to discern whether I’m pregnant. I literally had a two-three day bleed Oct and now I’ve had a one day bleed just few days ago.

it’s ridiculous nobody wants to help my periods need to start again and I would like to become pregnant however tests are no. Yet I got a digital on 8th Sep and Clear blue about 26th September

Are your tests still negative? It doesn’t sound like you are pregnant if so, cycles can take months to go back to normal after having a baby so your periods may not settle down for a few months yet.

Sunsunny17 · 13/11/2023 17:47

I got positive on a red dye weeks indicator

took pic of it after two hours later when I remembered however line started to fade even though it was present and equivalent to control line when I originally took it.

This was 26th oct

Did use same test brand or dif brand?

maybe dilute urine.

If you stick to same brand then you can analyse easily.

Also, what’s procedure for inconclusive test in British medical system

As you had your first positive in September and its now November, I assume they've scanned you and found nothing?

I'd guess you were never actually pregnant and the positive tests were leftover hcg from your previous pregnancy. You say you gave birth in August and first got a positive in September, so that's the most likely reason. It can take a while for hcg levels to go back to baseline after pregnancy.

Sunsunny17 · 14/11/2023 14:54

No. Don’t assume
always ask
possible have high base line but no scan occurred

TeaKitten · 14/11/2023 14:58

I don’t understand, are you still getting negative tests? Are you still thinking you are pregnant?

Sunsunny17 · 14/11/2023 15:00

Why haven't they scanned you?

I sorry but going by your tests it doesn't look like a pregnancy that is progressing normally. I would suspect the positive in September was due to hcg still in your system from your previous pregnancy.

Bells3032 · 14/11/2023 15:05

When did you give birth. If late August I'd expect a positive still in September and poss even early oct. It may have just been remamnt HCG. Also weird question but when you do a test do you use a pot and have you used a fresh pot since your pregnancy. I didn't and ended up with a pregnancy scare at 9 weeks. I'd washed the cups but obv a small amount remained. If you have a positive in September you'd be nearly 12 weeks no? Surely they should have booked you in for a scan by now. Or you can book in for a private scan if you can afford it.

You can't force your periods to come back and I'm surprised you want to get pregnancy so quickly if you have a baby of only three months old. No judgement at all but it is unusual. Sometimes it can take a year or more for your cycles to return to normal .

XenaTheWarriorPrincess · 14/11/2023 15:09

Base hcg cannot be higher than 5 unless there's an issue (such as menopause, etc) so you cannot get a positive result from your baseline hcg.

If you've been getting negative tests since your positive ones, it was most leftover hcg from a previous pregnancy or a chemical and you're not currently pregnant.

Did they do a blood test? Two draws 2 or 3 days apart? If so was hcg going up, down or staying the same?

Gro · 14/11/2023 15:15

That test is negative though?

TeaKitten · 14/11/2023 15:16

Edited

It’s a negative test OP. Again, have you had blood tests?
