Light brown mucus

Good afternoon ladies

I am 11 weeks tomorrow.

When I wiped today I had some light brown jelly like mucus.

I tried finding my midwife's details but apparently you can't contact the midwife personally and I have to go through my doctor! I tried contacting my doctor and the line is engaged for a long time and then I got through they could give me a phone call appointment for next Monday..

Madness...

Has anyone else had this? I think this would be when my actual period would be due if I was having them! I have no cramps.

Asking here because apparently it's impossible for me to get any help like I should be able too!

Hi it’s hard to tell but normally dark brown means old blood making it’s way out of your body especially if it’s around the time of your period I would be more worried if it was fresh red bleeding tbh.

Bless you, it really is so worrying.

I had this at about 10 weeks and again at about 14 weeks.

For me there was no obvious cause and sometimes it can be due to sex and cervical irritation.

The first time it happened, I called EPU but it was Friday and they said they wouldn't have space to see me until Mon or Tues.

I booked a same day private scan as I was super anxious (previous miscarriage) and it was a relief to see baby doing fine.

Hey
i had this twice both times I had exercised the day before. I’ve had 2 scans and they’ve been fine and advised the “old blood” was coming from the cervix not inside the uterus. It’s best to get a scan and have a professional check it’s all ok xx
