Haematoma

I was told at my 8 week scan I've got a small haematoma next to my gestational sac, it's just above my birth canal so the sonographer said expect some brown blood.

My baby had a heart beat that I heard of 159bpm and I was so excited, until she told me this.... then I got the brown blood.

I've got a follow up on Friday, but I'm so nervous did anyone have brown blood in early pregnancy with this cause, even without this cause and was everything ok???

Don't panic, I had a massive bleed at 6 weeks. Bright red blood and lots of it. I really thought I had lost the baby.
Had a scan at the EPU. Baby was fine the bleed was from a subchorionic hematoma. Now 18 weeks and everything is fine. Hematoma has reabsorbed. No more problems x

any blood in pregnancy is worrying OP but you’ve already been given an explanation in advance so try to stay calm. I had a huge bleed at 11 weeks with my DS2 and thought I’d lost the pregnancy but it was a hematoma that no one had spotted. Wishing you a smooth pregnancy x
