My first, jumped ahead a week at the dating scan and then was born 2 weeks early (not induced, my waters broke). Based on my dates he was born at 37 weeks.

I'm now pregnant with my second and they have also jumped ahead a week at my scan.

Is this one likely to be early too?

Dc1: 37+0 (00:36 hrs).
Dc2: 37-0 (23:55 hrs).
They would have both been bang on 37, but dc2s birth was very fast.

I told myself my whole pregnancy with dc2 that it was likely to go over, think towards an end of Feb date, etc. But I never really believed it would.

With dc2 I was also contracting from about 19 weeks. I thought they were just BHs, but at a routine midwife apt at 31 weeks she felt one, said I needed to go to hospital to have a trace and after an hour on the machine (with my feet up, only about 5 contractions, I'd thought it was very mild compared to what I was normally having) they panicked, admitted me, and I had steroids to strengthen baby's lungs in case it came early. Probably contributed massively to the very fast birth.

@Chasingsquirrels that's interesting, so both pretty early

I'm a bit worried as with my first they said my placenta was gritty which is normal for a pregnancy which goes over 40+ weeks but I was only 37 so if I do go further a long im a bit worried about my placenta essentially giving up 😐

29 weeks - pre eclampsia
34 weeks - waters went
33 weeks - spontaneous labour

37 weeks is technically term. On nicu we class 37 and above weeks at term plus.

36 weekers sometimes stay with mum too.

Try not to worry too much
