Bleeding in early pregnancy. Some reassurance please before I'm carted off in straight jacket!

I'm 7+5 weeks pg with much longed for 3rd DC. Have two DD's aged 6 and 2. Both of these pg where straight forward. No bleeding at all. I had a mmc in Nov 07 and an ERPC.

Ever since I found out I was pg again I've had (and here's the TMI bit!) varying degrees of brown mucus and a bigger red bleed on Monday. We went to the EPU and they scanned and found a heartbeat (phew). But after the scan on Tuesday I had another bigger red bleed which tapered off on Wed and now I'm back to the brown cervical mucus.

I'm wondering whether my cervix is especially sensititve after the ERPC? Or whether I have cervical erosion? Or whether this pg is a different sex? Or whether I'm just going to bleed a little throughout this pg? Arrggghhh. Please help. I'm driving myself mad thinking that every day is the beginning of the end.

Has anyone bleed throughout their pg and gone on to have healthy baby?

Please help a frantic mum to smile again and enjoy her (hopefully) last pg. xxxxx

I was in a similar situation to you. Had a mmc and a ERPC in August and got pregnant again in November. I had red and brown bleeds for the first 10 weeks and then it stopped. I am now 18 weeks pregnant and all seems ok.

So bleeding can be bad news but doesnt have to be. Can you ask to go back to the EPU for another scan?

Hope that helps

Hi Lcy. I rememeber you from MC Avengers thread. Great news about your pg!

EPU has booked me in for follow up (9 week) scan) on 18th Mar. If everything ok at that scan I'll start breathing a little easier.

M/c just takes all the joy out of pg. Can't relax for a second and poor DD's are getting fed up of having a grumpy mummy.
