Long First Trimester

Doesn't help that I found out at 3ish weeks.

No scan for 12 weeks (by choice as having three by twelve weeks last time didn't stop me miscarrying at 16 weeks!), can't talk to anyone about it yet, making excuses left, right and centre for not being sociable (in other words, not going out drinking), or suggesting breakfast/lunch/coffee dates that are in themselves suspicious. Worrying some friends are feeling a bit cold shouldered which I can't explain until I can, IYKWIM. Absolutely shattered and CONSTANTLY hungry, might not actually be pregnant at this rate, might be bloody worms, I'm ravenous.

Ahhhh it's just all feeling bloody slow. I'm really trying to be patient, I was doing all right but Im 9 weeks today and just suddenly feeling sodding impatient.

I can't even shop. I already have a wishlist full of items for baby/babies room, but buying that would be horrendously bad luck, can't buy maternity wear yet, but also no point buying myself normal clothes at the moment. Currently crocheting a blanket in yarn that I thought was orange with a hint of pink, which turned out to be pink with a hint of orange, so wondering if I'm wasting my time on it at the moment.

Gah. 12 weeks, hurry the fug up. Let's bloody get on with it.

I've been considering posting the exact same thread. I'm almost 7 weeks, known since an early test and so here I sit, waiting for things to progress, waiting for scans, feeling tired, achey, queasy, bloated and emotional.

BORED NOW!!

We have a little girl who will be beside herself with excitement to be a big sister, don't want to tell her til after 12 week scan and associated tests but we also want her to be the first to know, so on goes the brave face and out come the excuses for what feels like an eternity.

I'm not a patient person 😂

I lived in leggings and a tshirt, didn't see anyone, couldn't wait till the second trimester, not long hun, good idea to crochet! Xx

This too shall pass, yada yada 😂😂 I'm just gonna blame it on hormones and hope tomorrow I'm feeling more earth mother-y about it all!

@Screwballs first trimester certainly does drag especially with telling no one, feeling like sh!t, too tired to do anything etc! And to wait until 16 weeks... you got this 💪🏻 Sorry for your previous loss at 16 weeks, do you know what maybe have caused it?

I'm 9 weeks pregnant today as well. I should be due 6th May going by my last period and ovulation. I've only told my partner so far and I'm waiting until my 12 week scan on the 23rd before telling mine and my partners family.

This is my second and it's so different from my 1st pregnancy. I'm really bloated, heartburn, morning sickness and spots. I didn't have any of these with my 1st. It's going so slow. 😭

I know how you feel. I have my 12 week scan tomorrow and I am a bag of nerves. Our parents know, one of my close friends and boss at work but that's it and I'm also running out of excuses to give people. Some of my husband's friends want to arrange a night out and a joint holiday for next year (obviously not going to happen if we have a 3 month old) but I am struggling to think of things to say to put people off until I can tell them I'm pregnant.

It was so boring I remember. And I felt uncertain because if previous mc so for me it was just waiting to see if all is fine at the 12w scan. Good luck!

Ah we have the same due date and same scan date, that's sweet x

She had triploidy, basically 3 chromosomes each instead of two. Never compatible with life and ordinarily would pass far before 12 weeks, so I was just unlucky really, poor thing x
