hiya

well i had another scan yesterday...they have changed my due date to a week later, which makes the baby jus on the growth scale (3rd centile), but they are saying it will be on the small side.

the baby also has fluid in and around its kidneys, they are not sure if it is blood or urine, only time will tell...they are saying its hydronephrosis

the baby also has mild lft talipes...

and also dolicocephaly due to breech position...( basically a long head)

hmmm

im 21 weeks, next appointmnet in 3 weeks time...anyoen else had any of these problems.

At 21 weeks you probably don't feel or the movements it makes - especially if its a bit small for dates.

I've no advice or experience sorry. Did they not talk through the possible outcomes with you when you had the scan?

I didnt feel anything until a bit later and they changed our due date loads of times because they said baby a bit on the small side and everyone ive spoken to have said that this rarey effects the end size as apparently they can have 'growth spurts'.

Sorry not much help I know

I can rub my tummy with a decent amount of pressure to get baby to move. Takes a few goes, sometimes I also press the area. If I press low down on left I will feel something on the right, higher up. Is easier lying down.

Sweet foods, cold drinks will make baby move too.

If it is your first baby, you will feel less movements, so I am told.

I meant to type that you probably don't feel all the movements its makes.

When have they booked the next scan? If you are worried that the talipes could be associated with DS then I can't find any suggestion that it is a marker.

Hi my baby has hydronephrosis, basically just means the renal sack is dilated it shouldn't mean the kidneys aren't working or are damaged. A LOT of hn clears up just after baby is born and is really common. Ours hasn't but thats another story..

My baby was breech at 34 weeks and accupuncture and homeopathy (I believe) helped turn him round, maybe worth looking into..?

Do you feel like you've got enough support with these problems? If not you must get in touch with your antenatal care providers-even a chat with a midwife can put things in perspective, don't be stressed in silence, not good for you or baby.. Its really tough when things happen in pg..good luck with everything
