Over two weeks ago at 16 weeks I started to bleed during my pregnancy. I had fevers (which settled, and headaches and cramps) back and fourth to hospital reassured that baby was fine.
Eventually I passed a large clot (attached pic) which is when all the fevers stopped. Bleeding continues... it's not red red blood now but more pinkier. Seems to be less in day more at night now.
We had a scan a few days ago and Doctor suggested as I said my blood was pinker now and a bit slimier (which I assume is just less blood attached pic) that this could be amniotic fluid. He did a test for amniotic fluid and it was positive - but said false positive often occurs when blood present.
he said the fluid looks concerning around the baby - and wants to rescan in a few days to see if more has potentially leaked. That if low fluid can cause deformities during the weeks when lung develop and we may have to decide what to do. I wonder if I the fluids are actually okay but I was dehydrated that day if it could have affected the fluid as I hadn't drank much water or maybe he suggested we miss pockets of fluid on scans sometimes due to baby position. I'm hoping so.
I'm filled with dread and if anyone has any Info experiences around the low amniotic fluid scare, or passing clots like this, or continued bleeding I would be grateful.
