Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting on here. I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and looking for some advice. . .
especially if you have suffered from this in the past
I have developed a horrible itching (no rash) over my body, it is mainly on my arms and legs (NOT hands and feet).
I have heard itching in pregnancy can be caused by obstetric cholestasis (a liver condititon) and phone the midwives. As it was late at night I got put through to the labour ward and they told me to phone my midwives first thing in the morning as I'll probably need a blood test.
I have a history of liver problems - which appeared whilst I was taking the pill so this makes it more likely I suppose.
I really wanted to know if anyone has had this and if you could tell me - is it linked to IUGR (slow baby growth) - my little one has a big head but a small body and I have to have a scan with a consultant at 34 weeks.
AND - is it linked to thrush?? I seem to remember somebody mentioning this when I was complaining about thrush a while ago, but I ignored it. I have awful thrush which clears up with internal cream but always comes back in a few weeks.
I'd really appreciate your feedback - thanks

Sympathies, emma. I had OC in all 3 pregnancies. Not sure if it's related to IUGR since all mine were big babies.

I think thrush is just one of those annoying problems that can occur in pregnancies.

Hope all goes well for you.
