12 week scan worried

I had my 12 week scan on Monday (was 13 weeks) but my scan isn't like any other scan I've seen. The baby was facing away from us and was moving but didn't turn round at all so the photo is of the baby's back and back if their head no face is visible and because baby didn't turn round during the scan we didn't see a face on the day (as far as I could tell) sonographer wasn't worried and said bang on for dates and she could see the limbs etc but the baby was just facing away. It's really been playing on my mind since though has anyone else ever had a scan or scan picture like that before?

Yep, not exactly the same but went for a scan to find out baby’s sex the other day and it turns out I have an anterior placenta and baby was tucked right into it and refused to move. Could see the bottom half but face was totally hidden - I now have a lovely 3D photo of a placenta with baby‘s legs sticking out from behind it 🤦‍♀️😂 I wouldn’t worry OP, babies don’t always behave themselves, am sure everything is fine!

We never did get a look at our youngest's face. She was always facing towards my back so we have some cracking back and bum scan photos to show her one day.
I was worried throughout my pregnancy that she was stuck in the same position but the sonographers always reassured me that all was fine. I could reassure you op but you will likely still worry. Welcome to motherhood!

Yes, I didn’t get any pictures from my 20 week scan because he was in a really bad position hiding behind the placenta. When I went back 2 weeks later he was still in the exact same place, so didn’t get any then either. You wouldn’t have been able to tell it was a baby without being told🤣

Yes I feel my babies face was slightly turned away as can’t see facial features and really been playing on my mind too. I think I might go for a private scan but expensive at £60/70 per scan! It’s really hard to know, but I know how you feel <3 xx
