Bleeding after intercourse

Yesterday I had a small amount of pink blood mixed with discharge after sex, I called epu and they advised to monitor for 7 days and call back after 7 if still happening. Today it looks like dried blood with my discharge but I'm really not 100% sure i don't know what it would look like if I had an infection there I'm sorry the TMI photo! I'm just worried and didn't have anything like this with my first pregnancy

Your cervix can become a lot more sensitive in pregnancy and there’s an increase in blood flow in that area, so it’s really common to have a small amount of bleeding after sex. I had the same with my second. Seeing any sort of bleeding in pregnancy can be really worrying, but it seems to be very common. Just keep an eye and contact again if you are worried

Yeah I feel like a wreck with it! I'm just over thinking that it's more than it is like I know it's old blood because it looks like the end of my periods but still a worry xx

How many weeks are you? Have you just fallen pregnant? X

I had this with my first pregnancy and I was worried sick but my midwife explained that your cervix is like a sponge with increased blood flow and not to worry. Baby was fine
