ALERT, WAY TMI COMING HERE!! This is my third birth and my second was 'messy' which is about all I'll say! I would really love an enema this time to avoid a repeat but not sure if they even exist any more and, if so, does it have to be done at a certain stage in your labour, etc. Has anyone had one recently and care to tell me what it involves and if it worked??!! Sorry again for the info!

i would ask for one if you are worried or ask gp to prescribe you a micralax which you can do at home if necessary

i am lucky and have 'natures enema' diarroeah!

i would worry about muling up otherwise and think you should have the right

Not sure about enemas.

TMI alert - however, I did speak to gp about constipation, stocked up on lactulose and suppositories which I used before going in for my induction.

Yes, I'd use a suppository before going into hospital.
I think it is quite common to have diarrhea when labour starts, like PYBF I had with both my dc
