Hello

Based on tracked ovulation, I should be 5+6 today. I had an early scan this afternoon.

Measuring 5+2, saw tiny baby and yolk found but no heartbeat.

With my first, I had an early scan 5+6 and saw a a HB.

I know no one can tell me the outcome, but does anyone have any success stories in this situation?

They said very normal for this gestation and measurements are very hit at miss so early.

Thank you

Hi @Boymamaxx no expert here at all in fact still ttc our first but I’ve read loads and most places say it’s normal to not have heartbeat till 6 /7 ( depending on when conception actually happened) weeks so fingers crossed in your next scan your little bean has grown nicely 🥰

I had a scan at what I thought based on ovulation tracking was 6 weeks, was actually 5+3. Couldn't see heartbeat at that point but it worked out fine and I'm currently approaching 32 weeks. I had to keep reminding myself that though you can have an idea of when you ovulate with testing and bbt you dint know exactly and there is still variation of 24-48 hours. Same for implantation, you have an idea of when it 'should' happen but not when it definitely does.
Fingers crossed all works out for you, stay positive.

My first scan, which would have been at 5 +4, there was only a pregnancy sac and maybe the beginning of a yolk sac. 2 weeks later we saw a heartbeat on a follow up scan. I'm now 13 weeks.

It’s very normal to be a few days either way of what you thought, even people going through fertility treatment that know exact dates can be a few days out on a scan. It’s literally millimetres at that stage. Although some people do see a heartbeat earlier, you usually wouldn’t expect to see one until at least 6 weeks

Thank you all!

I've done some online reading and checking over my opk tracking.

I put myself as ovulation 1st sept.. 6 weeks tomorrow. Only I've just realised ovulation happens 24/48 hours after the positive test so actually, may have ovulated 3rd sept making me 5+4 and then also time for the sperm to meet egg and implantation I may well be out!

Have a scan next Thursday so will stay hopefully & test daily in the mean time like they suggested!

This evening my boobs hurt and I'm feeling nausea so that's positive I guess!

Went back for my scan today and just for future readers, all is well and saw a lovely healthy HB 🙏🏼

6+1 and match up with last weeks scan so dates were off.

@JD90 just to say thank you because your messages really stayed with me and helped me survive the wait!
