Advice please - estimate due date?

Hello - advice/thoughts would be greatly appreciated - I’m wondering how far along I am, and am too impatient to wait for my 12 week scan! Here’s the timeline:

Started trying in July
End July very short light 2 day ‘period’ - unusual for me
Took test straight after this - negative
Carried on trying
End august took test day before expected period - light line. Confirmed following days with dark line.
Took a few ‘how many weeks?’ Tests (not with first pee of the day though stupidly) and got ‘1-2 weeks’ result.
Assumed I was newly pregnant and took first day of July period as start, meaning I’m currently 8 weeks ish.
However I’m starting to see a bump, and I know it’s too early for that usually… so I’m wondering if July was implantation bleeding? But the negative tests and pale August initial test would say otherwise.

My 12 week scan is 4 weeks away still and I don’t know of any ways to get an idea of this sooner. I have my first midwife appointment at 10 weeks (in 2 weeks) but my understanding is that they don’t calculate due date in that.

I’d say likely 8 weeks, I was very bloated almost immediately so wonder if it’s that rather than a bump! Only way to know for sure before 12 week scan is to get a private scan.

Hi congratulations first of all . I would say count the date from July. I've never had a 2 day period and this happened last week for me. My breast and stomach is big I feel nausea and I've taken 2 test today but it's negative. I'm so confused I feel pregnant but I'm not sure what's going on . Any ideas?

Get a private scan to date the pregnancy, but if you got a negative after the two day bleed and faint line when period was due in august then you got pregnant on that cycle

Agree with 8 weeks. Bloating is very very common in early pregnancy and often makes it look like you have a bump early on. If it was earlier than that you would be having very dark tests whatever time of day you tested.

Yea I think you’re right, I’ll assume I got pregnant in my August cycle rather than July, and then get that confirmed at the 12 week scan.

@Maz85aw that is strange… I did read that you need to wait at least 2 days after implantation bleeding to get a positive test, but you have done that so if it’s coming back negative then maybe it’s a weird coincidence with something else. Same if it was a very early pregnancy loss, I think you’d still get a positive test? Worth a trip to your doc if the other symptoms persist. Hope you manage to figure it out!
