Hi everyone
I'm struggling to find any information on the salons website but I just had to do a health questionnaire for my appointment and when it asked if I was pregnant, it made me think maybe I shouldn't be going.

Basically, my eyelashes have stopped growing and look like horrible little stumps since getting pregnant. I wanted some extensions and have an appointment booked when i'll be 12 weeks. I assumed it was ok because i see pregnant ladies with lovely lashes all the time. Just looking for any experiences or opinions? I read the glue can sometimes have a bad chemical in it.

Thanks x

I've known plenty of women have them done when pregnant. As far as I'm aware the main concern is changes to skin when pregnant which can result in increased sensitivity/chances of a reaction to the glue.

If you have a patch test and don’t react I should imagine you’d be more than okay to get them done as they’re not glued to your skin but on the lash itself😊

I've had my eyelashes done a few times since being pregnant. My lash lady has advised it's completely safe. Only issue is when you're further along your pregnancy, you shouldn't lay on your back for long periods of time- they should have you to lay on your side :)

Thank you so much! I didn't realise how much difference eyelashes made to my confidence 😂
